why you work so hard, Ratzinger? How can you compare now with the secularism of the thirties? They have absolutely nothing to do. Social and cultural factors are very different. And the strong anti-clericalism that you appreciate is the logical answer against your antilaicismo radical. And against your misogyny, homophobia, conservatism, theological dictatorship, violation of human rights etc. In the background you know that your pastoral mission is doomed to failure more blunt in a free society like the present. The outdated and irrational moral doctrine to try to sell your public media and non-school events, and many promises to add as salvific offer. It is pure fallacy. So the second millennium business you're trying to keep afloat, is foundering and about to go under. The Church has planted seeds of poor quality for centuries and now you are reaping the rotten fruits. Who will want to try? Well, you'll always find gullible you believe and worship before thy feet, as this woman yesterday to see you on the steps of said Obradoiro exalted to the cameras was as if he had seen Christ (how insulting to believers who see the Son of God!). But do not expect any miracles, Ratzinger. Rather than say at once, "boasts Alea est", release the hatchet and forever lock yourself in your ostentatious palace in Rome, ashamed of the role as sinister and authoritarian sect represent leading the most destructive ever.

"An appearance has been much talk has been that, since late 1985 and for six years, had place in the Morrut, a mountain located six kilometers from the Valencian town of Alzira. The seer was Ángel Muñoz, 'divine instrument' chosen to provide humanity with ultra-conservative and apocalyptic messages. The Virgin appears to have a predilection by certain reactionary ideologies, or at least that is clear from the messages that allegedly offered through its 'channels' human. From the sky, so it seems, is political advocacy, even those who make you sit always on the ultra-right hand of God the Father ... "
A sharp Madrid Marian began their particular business at age 20, when he claimed to have had a heavenly vision in Prado Nuevo de El Escorial, the famous apparitions enclave already become a kind of Fatima to the English and supported by reactionary sectors the Catholic Church. But that miracle and fascist shed and was led by the visionary Amparo Cuevas and nobody could overshadow him. It is usually found among the spokesmen zealous divine. For this reason, Angel Munoz had to find another place to set up your stall and it was decided by Alzira. Their ecstatic encounters with the Virgin of the Rosary, including stigma kept the 15th of each month. That brought a lot of fans hungry for miracles and cures, although there were a number of locals who were opposed to such nonsense. Finally, the City decided to cut down the pine tree in whose branches the Virgin appeared, to avoid further discord. The cries of acolytes mingled with the applause of opponents. However, the seer decided to continue with his "divine mission" for them to put many obstacles. And by the grace of God, was ordained a priest and founded the Order of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus , a fundamentalist congregation whose members lived as if in the Middle Ages. The Archbishop of Valencia reacts against and warns "no record of the fact the supernatural occurrences (...) There are serious reasons to doubt its authenticity" . By the way, urges the viewer to quit and go no more to the place of the apparitions. But disobeys and officiates high Mass at his home in Benaguasil. As he wanted to be more Catholic than the Pope, under trance transmitted the following message: "There you have it sitting in the chair of Peter, there you have it, a staunch communist who has no faith. Mason, but Mason, requetemasón! A those who today continue the tradition, they can deceive, but God ... No! " . Finally be excommunicated.
In late 2004, Judge of the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Picassent, located town where the sect was led by Angel Munoz, ordered that three fans were subjected to psychological examinations by a medical examiner. Civil Guard, meanwhile, is over 300,000 euros in the monastery-fortress that served as headquarters of the sect. The heritage of Ángel Muñoz, obtained from the generous donations of more than two thousand followers, amounting to four billion euros. It has several chalets, apartments, land and wills. And besides, five bank accounts. When self-ordained priest, it seems that he forgot the vow of poverty ...

Gaycrusine Place In Calcutta
This definition of atheism have drawn from the work Catholic dogma, written by theologian Andrew Coll. This is an old textbook for the fifth year of high school, adjusted for approved religious questionnaire in 1939. Seventy years have passed and still, in the XXI century, many people share this very negative impression of atheists. It follows a binomial setting between atheism and immorality, which arose from the belief that in a world without God can not be genuine moral principles. "Philosophers like Plato and Thomas Aquinas argued that atheism was inherently dangerous to the social and political culture and, therefore, should be punished as a crime against society as a whole. They felt we had to exclude atheists from the political re-education to the force and even in some cases sentenced to death ", says law professor Steven G. Gey. In fact, the persecution of atheists, because they are considered a serious threat to civic virtue, have lasted well into the nineteenth century. Were denied civil and political rights enjoyed by believers. In England, they could not testify at trial or hold a parliamentary seat. But if we look to the United States found that there have not things changed much, although it is constitutionally a secular nation. Atheists are ostracized socially and politically, because the population is mostly religious and therefore there is enormous pressure to Christian beliefs can not be affected least. George Bush Sr. in an interview he conducted the journalist Robert Sherman, said: "I think that atheists should not be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is a nation that is under God . Thus, American atheists feel marginalized, threatened and persecuted. They are not even considered in the Constitution, since it only protects the rights and freedoms of believers. Atheism is seen as a social evil, but in several public polls conducted in the United States found that those most opposed to the death penalty and military interventions abroad are atheists.
Is there any factual basis to support the claim that the atheist is an immoral person, or is this an old prejudice without foundation? ... Benjamin Beit-Hallahmi, Professor of Psychology at the University of Haifa, makes a thorough study in 'Atheist: a psychological profile', concluding that: "Atheists are less domineering and manipulative, less dogmatic, less prejudiced, more tolerant, law-abiding, compassionate, aware and have received better training. They are highly intelligent and many are engaged in teaching or academic life. In short: we would like them to neighbors . If so, it seems that Dostoevsky was not quite right when he said: "If God does not exist, everything is permitted" . Moreover, history has to show that religions, who have defended the existence of God and continue to boast high divine moral fact, the clergy stands in moral authority, have given rise to the most heinous crimes. They have not been able to contribute to the pacification of the people but to cause serious conflicts between them, creating more division than unity and destabilize the foundations of society. The wars of religion, with its obvious political overtones, have caused millions of deaths. Far from preventing war, often religions have driven or supported to achieve their theocratic ends and preserve their privileges, regardless of gore. Not to mention the moral corruption of many religious men, like those pedophile priests whose ignominious abuse minors have raised a great scandal in recent years (there have one of the most disastrous consequences of the brutal sexual repression resulting from the Catholic moral). Do you have served as something to those priests moral precepts of religion and faith in God to be better people? Absolutely. So I say unlike Dostoevsky if atheism does not exist, everything is permitted ...
No more is required to view statistics to prove the fallacy that atheism is associated with immorality. Fox and Levin (2000) and Fanjzylber et al. (2002) showed that countries with higher homicide rates were all very religious atheism levels little or no statistically significant. In contrast, countries with the lowest homicide rates tend to be secular countries with high levels of atheism. Data have been corroborated by various criminological studies determined that non-religious people and those that do not belong to any church show lower rates of criminality (Lombroso, 1911; Bonger, 1943; Von Hentig, 1948). Regarding gender equality, countries with high rates of atheism are the most egalitarian of the world, contrary to what happens to the most religious countries, they are more discriminating. The countries where atheism is more (such as Sweden and Denmark) have more women in parliament, while countries with fewer women in their parliaments are more religious (such as Pakistan and Nigeria). In Human Development Report (2004) United Nations, we see that the countries that occupy the top positions in terms of human development (life expectancy, literacy rates, educational achievements, etc..) Are Norway, Sweden, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands. However, in all recorded high levels of atheism. While countries at the bottom of the list no statistically significant percentages of atheism. Phil Zuckerman, professor of sociology at Pitzer College, concludes from this that "countries with higher levels of atheism are enjoying better social health, while societies characterized by the absence of atheism are less healthy societies" . These data should make us reflect ...
There are many people supporting their morality in the Bible. Consider that your pages contain a supreme moral as it has been revealed by God's will. So many parents allow their children to be educated and trained as a people through biblical teachings, believing that there is no better moral guidance. However, when we consult certain passages of the Old Testament, we are extremely aware that the kind of moral demands that God almighty and merciful (?) In which millions of people believe. For example, in Deuteronomy 21, 18-21 , we read: "If you have a stubborn and rebellious son who will not hear the voice of his father or his mother and even after it has been punished, nor obeys ( ...) Then all his citizens stoned to kill him ". In Leviticus 20.13 : "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both commit an abomination and will be punished with death, his blood fall upon them" . In Numbers 15, 32-36 : "When the children of Israel were in the wilderness, a man caught gathering firewood on Saturday (...) The LORD said to Moses: 'This man must die, be stoned by the whole community outside the camp. " The whole community did leave the camp and stoned him to death, as Yahweh had prescribed to Moses ". And that God is the model of perfection? ... "Intolerance and the spirit of persecution is the essence of all that has a Christian sect based on: a cruel God, in part, that is irritated by the opinions of men, can not agree with a sweet and humane religion ", said the great philosopher Baron d'Holbach. Lean certainly examples of God's terrible (2008), magnificent work of journalist Pepe Rodriguez examines in detail the sadistic behavior, vengeful, righteous and jealous of a God who has guided Western culture for centuries. The New Testament is not free from immoral acts be justified by faith. Even Jesus himself behave sometimes avoided in a way that today call immoral. The contempt and indifference with which his mother used to treat are not characteristic of a good son. His threats and insults to those who did not share their opinions or questioning his prophetic and messianic were excessive for a supposedly righteous and devout man. Not to mention the joy announcing that sinners would be thrown into a fiery furnace. Even looked good the death penalty for those who curse their parents. And his violent attitude towards the merchants who made their living near the temple is not exactly leading by example. In addition, required actions are not very ethical but rather sectarian, then create serious family breakdown. Read what it says on Matthew, 10, 34-38 : "Think not that I came to bring peace on earth: I came not to bring peace but a sword. For I came to separate man from his father, the daughter of his mother, the daughter of his mother. Enemies of man, in his house. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of me, and he that taketh not his cross and still is not worthy of me ". Something like also read Luke 14, 26 : "If anyone comes to me and hate not his father and mother, his wife and children, brothers and sisters and even his own life, can be my disciple ".
Is it, therefore, useful biblical morality for society? Does it contribute anything of religion in man's moral progress? ... The biologist Richard Dawkins is quite clear: "The Bible is not the kind of book that one would give to their children to form their morals (...) Do people who use the Bible as an inspiration to moral rectitude the slightest notion of what is actually written in it? ". Honestly, I would not trust someone who claims to be a faithful follower of the biblical precepts. I would like a very dangerous subject. We know how they spend the fundamentalist Christians when put into practice his radical ideas inspired by the Bible. In that sense, they are not opposed to Islamic fundamentalists, whose sacred book, the Koran is also saturated with divine precepts reprehensible. In the name of God or Allah will continue to commit the greatest atrocities. And worst of all is that the perpetrators of these acts are people who if they had not been overly influenced by religion, which acts as a drug neuron-lethal poisoning would never have been able to commit. As noted by the physicist Steven Weinberg: "Good people do good things and bad people do bad things. But for good people to do bad things takes religion ". Therefore, it is faith that inspires this kind of violence, not human nature per se, as they want us to believe those who try by all means to exculpate the religion of being the cause of so much horror. Human nature, no matter how dark it is, does not make a group of middle-class men, parents and a good cultural training one day decide to kidnap several aircraft to crash into buildings full of innocent people, sacrificing themselves in the action themselves. Quranic promise of a heavenly paradise and the sanctity of jihad (holy war) stimuli themselves are sufficient for the fundamentalist Muslim, convinced of being a chosen of Allah, be motivated by a powerful impulse sectarian and not weigh the consequences destructive blind faith or the amount of suffering caused by their heinous act. "Believers! Make them war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites who dwell among you. Rise up to them harshly. Know that Allah is with the righteous ", we read in the Qur'an (9:73). The terrorist attack the 11-S can be justified fully making use of the holy book of Islam, just as they justified their torture inquisitors against heretics by resorting to a biblical text. There are plenty of passages in both books to be interpreted literally by any religious fanatic who decides at any given time a suicide attack believed to act by divine design. In his book Why I Am Not Muslim, Ibn Warraq (pseudonym of an ex-Muslim academics) states: "Christians and Muslims, all have been guilty of the most appalling cruelty, while there have been thousands of Atheists not only led a blameless life, but have worked selflessly for the good of his fellow ". How right he is! ...
It is advisable, for our sake, would advocate a natural moral totally detached from religion and based on reason. A healthy moral, independent, based on the innate goodness of man, our altruistic instincts and compassion we feel for our fellow-humanitarian aid is the daughter of the Enlightenment, not religion, not a moral dosed by ministers of God, or souls dealers who promise eternal rewards and threatened with eternal punishment if not strictly comply with its mandates. "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and expect a reward, we are indeed a sorry group ", said Einstein. The moral that emerges from there really is harmful. No wonder that moral irrational, unhealthy and deadly, born of fear and coercion, has borne fruit as wicked as the Inquisition or the Crusades. And still today, follow the same moral oppressive misogynistic and homophobic sentiments motivating, restricting individual freedoms and human rights with impunity contravening the most basic.
RELIGIONS NOT CONTRIBUTE TO PEACE OF MAN
"The problem with religious morality is that often leads people to worry about the wrong things, forcing it to make decisions that perpetuate, without, human suffering. See the case of the Catholic Church, is an institution that excommunicated women who want to be priests, but priests excommunicated men who rape children. The Church is more concerned about stopping contraception to stop the genocide. More concerned about gay marriage that nuclear proliferation. When we realize that morality comes to issues of human and animal welfare, we see that the Catholic Church is so much confusion about moral issues and on questions of cosmology. No offers alternative moral framework, provides a framework false , says the philosopher Sam Harris, author of The End of Faith. Religion, Terror, and the future of reason (2004). The atheist does not need God or religion to cultivate moral goodness. It does not become evil and criminal to deny the existence of a transcendent world. Perhaps by accepting its finitude, is more concerned with what's down here, to live the present, because paradise or hell does not expect post-mortem. Unfortunately, many people have not realized that there is life before death. Therefore, the attitude of the atheist is more tolerant and humble the believer, believed to hold of a truth revealed by God and lives convinced that their faith is a divine grace. More than one has told me: "I will pray for you so that you may regain faith . What a pride! ... But beware, being an atheist does not mean neglecting the spiritual, sacred music, religious art ... The atheist can enjoy reading at San Juan de la Cruz, studying the Gnostic gospels or investigating the world of miracle-popular and mystical phenomena , as in my case. Their struggle is against obscurantism, superstition, bigotry and religious fallacies. "Spirituality is too important to be left fundamentalism" says atheist philosopher André Comte-Sponville. In his work The soul of atheism (2006), proposes a lay spirituality without God, without dogma and without the Church. "Lack of religion is not a reason to abandon any spiritual life" he warns. Learn to distinguish between religion and spirituality. They are two very different things. Of course an atheist can live a spiritual life without attachment to the material, but is a staunch advocate of philosophical materialism. Even usually have more knowledge of religion that religious people, as demonstrated by a recent survey. Perhaps the problem by studying religious background, approach it from a rational approach, has resulted eventually in atheism. And that's fine! In fact, was what happened to me ... However, there are many believers who have the Bible as an ornament on a shelf. Have you ever taken a look. Ignore the fundamentals of their own beliefs. They know nothing about theology or know the origins of Christianity. His religious convictions are not based on any intellectual thoughts, but that they have inherited from the family and the environment. "The family and school are the two major pillars that help spread the virus of religion in society (...) In childhood, when minds are more open and more malleable, is when it is easier to inoculate the belief in God ", say the historian Gabriel García Volta and Joan Carles Marset geologist in probably no God (2009). Moreover, there are many believers in the faith comfortably installed that are not attracted by some profound questions of life, nor the search for truth, and the mysteries that surround us, not by philosophical reflection, not for knowledge scientific and even by the immense pleasure of being seen the sky in all its glory, making things feel dwarfed by the gigantic universe on which we ignore so much (there is some mystique around that and not me as strange that Nietzsche said: "I'm mystical and not believe in anything" ). In short, we believe people of faith because occasionally attend Mass, go to see the Holy Week processions and pray quite often, but really live far away from spirituality. Do not even care about the welfare of their fellows. Faith in God does not make them virtuous and wise. And you do not need any faith to know how to choose love instead of hatred, justice instead of injustice, peace instead of violence, generosity rather than selfishness. No one steals or murders for losing the faith! And no one practices more charity for having faith! ... There are many caring people who do not act motivated by a religious impulse, but to help humanity their peers. And this he is right. "All these rules came to his people long before any contact with the great monotheistic religions, which suggests that moral knowledge comes from revelation, but from the experiences of human beings to live together, they have shown that their behavior must be adjusted according to the rights of others, " philosopher Elizabeth Anderson explains in his excellent essay 'If He s dead," everything is permitted? ".
is abundantly demonstrated that all morality comes from religion is harmful and contrary to nature. Does not contribute to human happiness, because of its repressive and alienating. It is also incompatible with reason and human progress. Certainly the moral standards that are extracted from the divine laws are insane. There is no special virtue in what we call faith, because it is seen that it can become a dangerous weapon to commit all sorts of cruelties. "I am as firmly convinced that religions do harm as I am that are false," said the philosopher Bertrand Russell. I endorse his words. Secular or secular humanism would be, from my point of view, an effective antidote to ensure ethical peaceful and tolerant, to share a sense of moral and social responsibility, and to mitigate the harmful effects that religious fanaticism that now more that has never become a serious threat to human survival. The philosopher Michel Onfray offers the solution to the problem: "Deconstructing the monotheistic religions, to demystify Judeo-Christianity, Islam, too, of course, then remove the theocracy, these are the three tasks for atheology opening. From these it will be possible to develop a new ethical and create conditions in the West for a truly post-Christian morality in which the body ceases to be a punishment and the world a vale of tears, life catastrophe, pleasure a sin, a curse women, a presumption of intelligence and a voluptuous sentence ". Without doubt, we need a rational moral and critical faculties to curb the dogmatic faith that still tries to act as a control mechanism in a plural and democratic society that aspires to its final secularization. You have to remove the Judeo-Christian morality, castrating and abuse which continues to revolve around old theological chimeras if we enjoy the freedoms and equalities that secularism offers and consciously take charge of our own destiny, forever abandoning the ridiculous metaphysical fears that subjugated the human being from the dawn of time. The efforts of enlightened thinking to conquer the intellectual and moral freedom continues. And at stake is human dignity. It is time, therefore, know how to choose: either the light of reason or the darkness of religion. So I think the XXII century will be an atheist or not ...

PROVINCIAL CIRCUIT Triathlon & Duathlon 2010. By Antonio Orozco Aguayo.
When in 2006 I finished my first triathlon he kept repeating the same, this is crazy, this is crazy, at that time was going through my head I repeat a thing in my life and on the way home, after the scare, and said we had to repeat and improve.
After informing me, to read books, to ask in the forums and see dozens of videos, I have tried to improve in this sport and especially to lose the fear of open water swimming.
During these years I have tried to participate in more tests and try to complete the circuit provincial triathlon and duathlon.
Well, this year if it has been, I'm done looking forward to this circuit of three tests Duathlon
Herrera. Triathlon
Villanueva del Rio y Minas. Triathlon
Castle Guards.
As this year I had a little more time to train I have also completed;
Triathlon Seville. Aquathlon
Seville. Duathlon
Las Cabezas de San Juan. Triathlon
Aracena. Triathlon
Lebrija. V
crossing by swimming Costa Ballena. Duathlon
Alcalá Baker. Duathlon
Los Palacios.
Each of these tests has its charm and its stories, both the place where anything and profile to be faced, there are many experiences that are lived, above all highlights the good atmosphere and great companionship.
I have always wished that some of us in the club be encouraged to practice this sport, and to live this experience so special, I've really missed our partner Paco Escartí, we started together, and lack of time we could not follow, but next year I hope.
One of the best memories I have is Lebrija triathlon, as our dear Nacho is encouraged to join us, once again proved to be a great friend and partner, did not miss the mood for anyone, even helped organize the event, I was thrilled his presence, thanks Nacho're great!, and do not forget the beers with shrimp walkers.
Duathlon In Alcala and Los Palacios, also I have very fond memories with our friend Lazarus, we suffer together those slopes so hard and we have fallen bike, but it sits across the goal and finishing with a partner.
I can not forget someone special, someone who devotes his time, that time we all need, and she dedicates it to all of us, our Maria, I have witnessed all the time he spent to get us the kit so cool that we have and we will look for a little while. Thank you very much Maria, for being so aware of everything, by inscriptions, dates, and because we are all united in our little run.
Well I encourage you all to change your sport when you finish the racing season.
A hug to everyone.

Due On Today Negative Test ?
historical novel THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE BEGINNING, the environmentalists, researcher, essayist and writer José Antonio Delgado González (Madrid, 1972) marked a before and after in what is literature on Christianity and their origins have been written to date. Using their knowledge of Analytical Psychology and Transpersonal, deep into the Gnostic texts of the early centuries of the Christian era and along the corridors Golden underground of catena that since Christian Gnosticism, circulates through astrology, medieval alchemy and symbolism of the Tarot cards, José Antonio Delgado us into a fascinating atmosphere in which the mystery, "gnosis" and Transpersonal Psychology harmoniously come together in this amazing novel.
Juan, a former prisoner, locked up in prison after being wrongfully convicted of a crime of violence, is accepted as a disciple of the abbot of a monastery and remained for nine years under his spiritual direction. The abbot, a priest excommunicated for disagreeing with authority from the Church of Rome, was condemned to remain in the ostracism, and sent to a convent away from major cities. Here, it becomes your master and under his tutelage, John is part of the community of the Twelve, being initiated into the knowledge of the best kept secrets in the Church.
During his life as a monk, Juan learns that it is doubtful the false teaching that the Church has passed since his childhood, as if it were the ultimate truth on Earth. In addition, following further the "true gnosis, please do a deconstruction of all those false beliefs, prejudices and illusions, both formal or literal Christian religion, and society Modern as a whole, stands as the only existing reality.
BROTHERHOOD OF BEGINNING takes place in an atmosphere of philosophical questioning of everything that has been assumed, both in the family, as well as social and religious, of the prejudices about what sexuality is and brings to life the human being, etc. So that the reader will find in this historical novel is a genuine and honest search for truth, of that Truth which is beyond appearances.
One of the innovations that this work provides is that it deepens, complements and compensates for the shallowness of other books on the same theme, amplifying some issues that have been forgotten, linking issues that have been treated independently without compromising the historical and scientific rigor and, despite everything, using plain language and accessible to a lay audience.
Most likely, THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE INITIATED will be well received by those who begin to feel that emptiness and feeling of futility of life, occurring in times of existential crisis. Surely, it will be appreciated by a large group of women who face a real revolution in the field of women's consciousness, but it is also for men who are in the path of integration of his female counterpart, and all those who yearn for the realization of your being androgynous, "the connection to the divine spark that lies within the human being and, therefore, to those interested in mystical experience.
Therefore, BROTHERHOOD OF BEGINNING addresses both mental health professionals, like all forms of public worship, including philosophers and scientists who are in the path of the search Truth. Also, for those interested in starting knowledge of depth psychology, humanistic psychologists, analytical or transpersonal, historians of religion, etc., Who find a synthesis of Jungian thought and post-Jungian.

Why Do Warts Go Black On Hands
I wanted to express my opinion about the unexpected commotion arose a few weeks ago the British physicist Stephen Hawking by asserting that "God was not necessary to create the universe" . He preferred, however, wait to pass over the media storm caused by such statements, which were considered of "bold", "disrespectful", "opportunistic", "provocative" ... (?). Me has attracted attention, after reading what has been published about the reaction so excessive that still arouses the fact that a well-known character, whether scientific or not publicly question or deny the existence of God. For some uninformed clamoring after the ruling ideology is atheism (as noted sociologist Phil Zuckerman, "in many societies, being 'an atheist' stigmatized. Even those who explicitly state they do not believe in God, try not to call themselves 'atheists' " ). It seems that freedom of expression is only permitted for certain purposes. Others, still bear the stamp of 'untouchables' or 'sacred', pun intended. Unfortunately, there are still too religious prejudices about us. And atheism is still frowned upon, especially because it defends secularism, free thought and criticism. Naturally, that's not at all interested in maintaining a cohesive and controlled society, as they have always sought God's representatives on Earth, who have performed many times as genuine masters and tyrants. "The mere mention religion or God becomes in a shell that gives the faithful a high degree of impunity while those who are not transcendent belief of eternal salvation or are excluded from the protection of laws which, thus, end up promoting a worldview, an ideology and high interest individuals " says Albert Riba, president of the Union Atheists and Freethinkers.
The truth is that most media have echoed the angry criticism of Hawking, many of them from ultraconservative sectors, as expected. Critics have focused not only on what Hawking has said about the improbability of God, but have gone much further and to some people without having the slightest idea of \u200b\u200bcosmology, even without reading the works of Hawking, has enabled us to question their important contributions in the field of science (no more than remind his valuable research on black holes, general relativity and The Theory of Everything). In the absence of better arguments to refute their claims, theists, deists, gullible, superstitious, sectarian and religious fanatics have preferred area ridicule and insult. For the umpteenth time, comes out the ad hominem fallacy : if Hawking is wrong in some of its scientific predictions, it is not reliable, therefore, which has said now he can not be taken into account (as if it were always wrong or their opinion as renowned scientist was not worth!). Does his position as holder of the Lucasian chair of mathematics at the University of Cambridge, Newton held the same, he was chosen by a lottery? Is it that he was awarded the Albert Einstein Award, an award as prestigious as the Nobel in physics, being confined to a wheelchair because of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis? ... Do not forget that Hawking is considered the most brilliant theoretical physicist after Einstein. Has also ensured that sought publicity for his new book The grand design (Great design ), published on 9 September. Rumour has achieved its goal by advertising his controversial statements. And I wonder: Is it crime to advertise a book? Are not those who write books do so to defend the existence of a supreme being that nobody has seen? Is it permissible to criticize Hawking is a famous scientist and that, therefore, sell more books than others? Is it not rather that the media have highlighted that the screaming headline above all other matters addressed in his new book? ... Many criticisms have been so pathetic that sometimes I could not help laughing. Others have caused me stupor, it included comments as reprehensible as "Hawking should die burned at the stake as did the inquisition of heretics who questioned theological dogma" . I have already spoken on this blog from the harmful effects that can cause this dangerous drug called faith. As said Nobel Prize-winning physicist Steven Weinberg: "Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, there are good people doing good things and evil people doing evil deeds. But for that good to do bad things requires religion ".
THE BOOK OF THE CONTROVERSY
Hawking has not said anything we do not know from Laplace (1749-1827). This mathematician and astronomer was the author of the revolutionary Treaty of celestial mechanics. It is said that Napoleon asked him what role God played in their investigations of the Solar System. Laplace's answer was clear and forceful: "Lord, do not need this hypothesis" . I find it very interesting what you said about the physical Antonio Fernández-Rañada documented in his work and God Scientists (2008):
"Certainly the use of God as makeweight has contributed greatly to the erosion of religion by science, because it shows a jealous God who hides in the ebb and tricky task of what man has not been explored yet. It is an absolutely reprehensible speech. Laplace's answer would be that of many scientists who believe, as the attempt to use God as makeweight degrades him to a mere scientific hypothesis unnecessary ".
honestly do not know what the fuss with the statements of Hawking (essentially agnostic consider rather than atheist, because there is no explicit denial of the existence of God.) "Since there is a law like gravity, the universe could create itself, and in fact did, out of nowhere. The spontaneous creation is the reason there is something, that there is a universe that we exist " says in his new work, which makes it very clear that " no need to invoke God to shine the light and have started the Universe ". Demonstrations, one way or another, and has been doing for twenty years. Rereading these days his seminal work Brief History of Time (1988), I run with the revealing words introductory astronomer Carl Sagan, which come straight from the current controversy:
"(...) It is also a book about God ... or perhaps about the absence of God. The word God fills these pages. Hawking embarks on a search for the answer to Einstein's famous question about whether God had any choice in creating the universe. Hawking attempts, as he says, understand the mind of God. And this makes it totally unexpected the conclusion of his effort, at least so far: a universe without a border space, no beginning and no end in time, and no place for a Creator ". Chapter
entitled 'The origin and destiny of the universe, "Hawking mentioned a conference on cosmology organized by the Jesuits in the Vatican in 1981. He attended the ceremony and tells the following anecdote:
"At the end of the conference, participants are granted us an audience with the Pope. He said it was OK to study the evolution of the universe after the Big Bang, but we should not inquire into the Big Bang itself, because it was the moment of creation and therefore God's work. I was glad I did not know then that the theme of the talk I had just given at the conference: the possibility that space-time was finite but had no boundary, implying that there was no beginning, no moment of Creation. I had no desire to share the fate of Galileo, with whom I feel strongly identified partly by the coincidence of having been born exactly 300 years after his death. "
In late 1992, Hawking was interviewed by journalist Sue Lawley to its successful BBC radio Desert Island Discs . Sue asked near the end of the interview if God had dispensed with considering that the universe exists by itself. Hawking said
"All my work has shown is that there is to say that how the universe began was due to a personal whim of God. But the question remains: why the universe bother to exist? You may want to define God as an answer to this question ".
Hawking Was overly cautious and would not say at that time that God has a place in a universe that had no beginning and will have no end? Maybe. But it may be that things have now clearer than twenty years and be more emphatic in its conclusions.
THE HAWKING most famous work
Hawking speaks of a universe that had no limits in the beginning, and as a totality in itself. To self-generate, it is obvious that the cause of its origin is the universe itself. Therefore, there is no need for an external cause and not contingent (God), contrary to what Leibniz argued in his famous cosmological argument. "According to modern physics and, more specifically, according to Big Bang cosmology, there is no initial time t = O. Had there been a primal moment like that, the universe would be in a stadium impossible because the universe exist in a three-dimensional spatial point would have no spatial dimensions " says Quentin Smith, philosophy professor and author of Theism, Atheism and Big Bang Cosmology (1993). If there is no first moment, but a series of stages each one caused by an earlier stage, the existence of these stages and implies the existence of the universe itself. If so, what room is left for God? ... In my opinion, none (stating that Hawking does not say outright that God does not exist). The hypothesis of a Creator superfluous in the XXI century science. Not explain the world. The lack of evidence makes it completely unnecessary and should be relegated exclusively to the world of faith, devoid of any rational basis. Today we can say with complete peace of mind that there are good scientific reasons for denying the existence of God. Simply apply the Occam's razor . In his excellent book Religion go scam! (2009), Gonzalo Puente Ojea sums it up: "Both the scientific cosmology and neuroscience refute physicalist sign without reservation all naturalistic worldview, religious or not. Naturalism expresses the immanence of any attempt to explain the world . " It is therefore high time to recognize the incompatibility between science and religion totally opposite speak two languages, "even if some stubborn claim to be defending the opposite (trying in vain to reconcile reason and faith). "The dialogue between science and religion is impossible says Nobel Chemistry Christian de Duve. I totally agree with him. And the historian Gabriel García Volta and Joan Carles Marset geologist, author of probably no God (2009): "The main difference of scientific knowledge with the so-called religious knowledge is that it is not subject to review or can evolve, because it is based on revelation. And God makes no mistakes, or so claim some of its apologists ". Does the biblical story of Genesis has something to do with what we now know from disciplines como la cosmología, la genética y la biología evolucionista?... ¡Menuda falacia quiso vendernos! Incluso su sucesor Benedicto XVI, en su encíclica Caritas in veritate (2009), still using the same strategy in their quest to stop the advance of secularism in the West, which is undermining the foundations strides from the pernicious and increasingly discredited Christian faith. Takes clear if you intend to return to the Middle Ages! ...
The reality is that every time there are fewer gaps in scientific knowledge to place God at the end is not merely a means easy and pretty useless (as well as a major obstacle to human progress and justification for the atrocities committed by religion). According to Hawking, science is God cornering with increasing their knowledge of nature ( "Ignorance is the mother of devotion" , says the philosopher David Hume). Today we know that Earth is the center of the universe. Nor are the king of creation. Moreover, we inhabit a tiny speck of dust orbiting one of the many solar systems that are scattered throughout the cosmos, whose age is estimated at around 14,000 million years. And we humans are but a product of millions of years of biological evolution, subject to chance and natural selection. Thus, the vision offered by the theology of the universe and life has been crumbling miserably (in the seventeenth century, Anglican Archbishop James Ussher calculated based on the biblical chronology, the creation of the world was exactly the 23rd of October 4004 BC, precisely what a scientist!). Yes, theology has stepped on a land that did not belong. But science was recovering thanks to their efforts to understand the world through in-depth knowledge of reality, which can only be achieved through the use of reason. "The origin of this universe is a scientific issue, specifically a problem of physics" , says the American physicist Victor J. Stenger, making it clear that religion is not the final word on such a subject. Therefore, those who still ignore about our universe, which is much-should not push us to seek explanations or transcendent magic. "If there is something beyond the natural world as we now imperfectly known, we hope to finally meet and include it within the natural world," says biologist and militant atheist Richard Dawkins in his famous work The God Delusion (2006), who incidentally has congratulated for their courageous demonstrations Hawking.
WHAT WE KNOW OF THE COSMOS TO A SCIENCE, NOT A RELIGION
If your prime objective, rather to be consistent with scientific truth, had been wanting to sell books to earn big bucks, Hawking would have used another formula success: speaking of God positively. That is, to suggest that it is a possibility to consider. There are scientists who do shamelessly, and even include the term 'God' in the title of his work (an example is The Mind of God, physicist Paul Davies), sometimes in order to get the succulent Templeton Prize (precisely Davies won in 1995), awarded to those who contribute through their research to support the possibility of a transcendent reality or spiritual (the award now exceeds one million euros). By the way, these books if they end up selling like hotcakes.
today's solid explanations offered by science to understand the origin of the universe and life from a strictly immanent and through empirical verification, irritates his opponents who see their outdated supernatural interpretations are called into question. There are the defending creationists still unprovable theory of "intelligent design" that seek to pass off as scientific. These mindless self fierce propaganda campaigns carried out and trample the scientific rigor and honesty at the expense of getting their goals! As the philosopher Christopher Hitchens in God Is Not Great (2007): "argument of creationism or" intelligent design "(its only intelligence lies in its overlapping renaming itself) is not even a theory. Despite all his well-funded propaganda, has never even attempted to demonstrate how a single piece of nature is best explained by the 'design' that through evolutionary competition. For his part, dissolved in tautologies childish ".
Fortunately, no longer chasing scientists to execute on behalf of God. So glad that Hawking is still alive, although many religious fanatics want to see him die as did the astronomer Giordano Bruno after being condemned by the Inquisition burned to a simmer.
